PLOT

Two researchers who had a previous relationship are in an observation station presumably possibly in Washington State. The site is in an area where a dangerous cult called The Family operated. Possible Satanism, occult practices, all that good stuff. So the pair are stuck in isolation in a creepy setting to start with. The animal and insect life here seems odd.

Things deteriorate with strange knocking noises outside, and film of something between human and animal. Both of them begin to revert to naked savagery, and things get violent between them. Plus worse, when he tracks down where she has disappeared to.
